What inspired you to start Dream Spa Medical?
I always wanted to own a business. Initially, I thought it would be a marketing firm. But after attending Bentley University and working for my mom post-grad, I had the rare opportunity to help launch a startup. That experience opened my eyes to how closely appearance is tied to self-confidence. Helping people feel better about themselves and watching how that confidence spills into all areas of their lives, became something I was passionate about. I saw Dream Spa Medical as a way to create impact, not only for our patients but for our team and community too.
What gap did you see in the industry that you wanted to fill?
I saw a huge lack of judgment-free care. Medical aesthetics can feel intimidating, even exclusive. A lot of patients feel nervous walking into a space where they’re comparing themselves to others. We built Dream Spa Medical to be different, warm, welcoming, and rooted in real connection. We wanted to create a place where people could explore aesthetic treatments without shame or fear.
What are you most proud of when you look at the business today?
Our people. Every single manager at DSM started as a receptionist. Now, they lead their own teams and foster growth in others. Watching that leadership ripple through the company has been one of the most fulfilling parts of building this business.
What advice would you give someone looking to build a practice like DSM?
Do your homework. Get hands-on experience in the industry, whether it’s shadowing a business owner or working at a medspa. Aesthetics is a unique space and it’s easy to underestimate how different it is from other cosmetic fields. The more knowledge and exposure you have going in, the stronger your foundation will be.
