Dream Spa Medical donated a part of the proceeds from November’s Beauty Deals to charity.
This holiday season, Dream Spa Medical is focusing on uplifting girls and women. We have been honored to work with the Women’s Foundation of Boston this year for our Giving Tree charity.
The Women’s Foundation of Boston
The Women’s Foundation of Boston is a nonprofit public charity that creates, funds and accelerates high-impact economic and leadership programs that equip Greater Boston Women and girls to be financially independent and successful leaders.
Why Women?
Only 1.6 of all US charitable giving is directed towards women and girls.
70% of households living in poverty in Boston are led by single women.
Less than 2% of million dollar gifts support women’s causes.
Women reinvest 90% of their incomes in their families and communities, as compared with 30-40% for men.
Thanks to the Women’s Foundation of Boston, the following positive impacts occurred:
- 777 school-aged girls attended after school science programs.
- 626 girls and women participated in mentoring programs.
- 1500 athletes received athletic gear or enrolled in running programs.
- 1058 women and girls received period products and wellness assistance.
- 989 professional women engaged at conferences, webinars and info-sessions.
Working with the Women’s Foundation of Boston
Our team chose to work with and help the endeavors of The Women’s Foundation of Boston as a way of giving back to the community and supporting girls and women. We put a ribbon on our Giving Tree for everyone who bought a treatment from the Black Friday Bonus list and contributed to the greater cause of helping women and girls in the Boston area.
The team at Dream Spa Medical was very glad to be able to support this cause and help generate interest and excitement for this wonderful non-profit, public charity.
